Compliant Comfort

She gets off the ferry,
To gate by the sea.
Where she builds a fire,
In new company.
She talked all night,
Bout what she believes.
She said, “Scarfs can’t help the hot.”

Why won’t I stay with you,
When we share the view that
All you need is love to live.
How can I make it true;
Blind or am I blue with
Out the voice I have not heard.

She moves to stay warm,
Her coat covers holes.
Full of erudition,
She airs out her soul.
For all to see,
In this cloth she weaves.
All the patches she can find.

Why won’t I stay with you,
When we share the view that
All you need is love to live.
How can I make it true;
Blind or am I blue with
Out the voice I have not heard.

Ripe horn honks and steam sighs,
Dock in Boston’s Bay.
She downs her last coffee,
Afraid that she’ll stay.
For if she does,
Ennui will retrieve.
All the Compliant Comfort.

Hues For KAHD

Hues that never fade,
My mind's eye
Holds your image softly.
Never to let go,
Yes I know,
Moments can not last.

Still I try and save,
Like a book's
Open ended ending.
Push through
Glutted noise,
Moments rest in peace.

On a kiss, I sail away
With hues that take my breath.
In my heart, symphonic sounds
Give meaning to its death.

Your light still disperses bliss
As prisms do,
Of which I've been longing.
Hold close
All your hues,
Waves well our release.

Why Don't You Answer Me Never

You cut me off, every chance you get,
You’re so ready to talk, though you know
I’m upset, I need a patient ear,
To hear my selfish doubts, still you question
My tears, and worst of all,
I ask you why everyday and every response
Is swallowed, you lecture my wallow,
Projecting so shallow
Please, listen and sink me in
Before you react.

Why don’t you call, no more
Whatcha doin where ya been,
Why don’t you ask at all
And why, don’t you answer me never.

Patch yourself up, go run to your friends,
You’ll complain and they’ll nod, but ask yourself
Do they care, like you know I do,
I judge you harsh because I feel, All of the
Fears, you hide away,
The futre our present your past
Will follow, no need to wallow,
You’re not truly shallow
Please, face who you really are
Be you drop the act.

Why don’t you call, no more
Whatcha doin where ya been,
Why don’t you ask at all
And why, don’t you answer me never.

Conversation

Sit down and share,
Crisp words come so easy when you’re here,
Tell me slow savor each phrase, tell me slow.

Why won’t you speak,
It’s best to connect through other means,
I’ll draw you with beige and blue, I’ll draw you.

What do you dream,
You tell me you don’t know what to say,
Then you smoke care in your eyes, then you smoke.

Chill by a fire,
I don’t drink or smoke to loosen up,
We work hard to share free worlds, now unwind.

I am afraid,
To leave here and lose my cherished homes,
Shelter me from the unknown, safe and sound.

Embarrass me,
Your gestures don’t comfort me at all,
What’s your game to touch and hide, what’s your game.

Why so unclear?
Do you think you know what’s best for me?
Blur the truth humor me blind satisfied?

Where will you live,
I don’t care, I just need my kin close,
Peaks and streams, my family, by the sea.

You make me glad,
Thank you for composing space with me,
Grateful for knowing your name, gratitude

Bridge Between.
